Additional Information

SBQS 2026 Registration + SBC Membership (or Membership Renewal): Registration options that include both event registration and SBC membership/membership renewal were created so that the combined cost is lower than purchasing each item separately. Therefore, this is the most advantageous option for participants who are not yet SBC members or whose membership is about to expire or has already expired.

Student Registration: Student registration fees are available only to participants who are currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs at higher education institutions. These rates do not apply to postdoctoral researchers. When registering through the ECOS system, participants must electronically submit proof of current student status containing their institutional affiliation, participant's name, program in which they are enrolled, and a current date. Verification of this document may take up to one (1) business day. Therefore, to avoid any inconvenience, participants are advised not to register on the last day of a registration fee period. Payment options will only become available after the document has been validated by the SBC team. Registrants will receive email notifications at each stage of their SBQS 2026 registration process.

Author Registration: For each paper accepted in one of the SBQS 2026 tracks (Technical Papers, Experience Reports, and Education in Software Quality) or in the co-located events CTDQS 2026, WTDQS 2026, and CTICQS 2026, at least one author must register for the event.

  • Technical Papers, Experience Reports, Education in Software Quality, and CTDQS: at least one registration in the professional category is required.
  • CTICQS and WTDQS: registration in the student category is permitted, subject to the submission and approval of proof of current student status.

For CTDQS 2026, the registration must be completed by the author of the dissertation or thesis. In addition, a paper publication fee must be paid, and oral presentation of the work at SBQS 2026 is mandatory. The presentation may not be given by the advisor or co-advisor.

For WTDQS 2026, the registration must be completed by the author of the dissertation or thesis in progress. In addition, a paper publication fee must be paid, and oral presentation of the work at SBQS 2026 is mandatory. The presentation may not be given by the advisor or co-advisor.

For CTICQS 2026, the registration must be completed by the author of the undergraduate research project. In addition, a publication fee must be paid, and the presence of at least one author to give the oral presentation at SBQS 2026 is mandatory. The presentation may not be given by the advisor or co-advisor.

If the required registration is not completed, the publication fee is not paid, or the author does not attend the event to present an accepted paper, the respective paper will be removed from the event proceedings.

When registering, authors must first register in the appropriate participant category and then select the publication fee. Both the registration fee and the publication fee must be paid by October 19, 2026 (the last day of the first registration fee period).

Authors of accepted papers may receive a maximum of one (1) registration waiver (either 100% or 50%) per Higher Education Institution (HEI) holding an SBC institutional membership. The HEI is responsible for selecting the beneficiary, who must send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the subject [SBQS 2026] INSTITUTIONAL REGISTRATION WAIVER FOR AUTHOR, stating that they are the designated beneficiary and attaching a declaration issued by the responsible authority at the HEI confirming their nomination.

Important: The publication fee must be paid regardless of any registration fee waiver.

Payment Methods: Registration fees may be paid by bank slip (boleto bancário), credit card, Banco do Brasil account debit, government commitment note (nota de empenho), or institutional billing through the SBC registration system. Payments by account debit and bank slip will be available until November 6, 2026. After this date, payments may still be made by credit card, government commitment note, or institutional billing through the registration system.

Registration via Government Commitment Note or Institutional Billing: Participants must access the ECOS system and complete their registration, selecting either “nota de empenho” (government commitment note) or “faturamento” (institutional billing) as the payment method. After clicking the payment option, the system will provide the information required for issuing the commitment note or billing request.

Cancellation Policy: Until October 20, 2026, participants may request a refund of 50% of the amount paid for their SBQS 2026 registration. After this date, no refunds will be issued. This policy applies both to registration cancellations and to cancellations of any additional activities. Cancellation requests must be sent to This email address is being protected from spambots.
