CALL FOR PAPERS - INDUSTRY TALKS TRACK

SBQS 2020: The 19th Brazilian Symposium on Software Quality

December 1st to 4th, 2020 - ONLINE

http://www.sbc.org.br/sbqs

THE SBQS

The Brazilian Symposium on Software Quality (SBQS) is the main Brazilian forum dedicated to Software Quality. The quality of the software is manifested in two complementary and dependent aspects: Process Quality and Product Quality. With the current heavy reliance on software and aggregated services, research into software quality and its application in products and services is both a necessity and a differential to provide value to organizations and their businesses.

Since its inception, the SBQS has been instrumental in sharing experiences between the academy and industry, where researchers, educators, and the Software Quality and Software Engineering practice community meet to present and discuss ideas, experiences, and discoveries with a view to innovation with the potential to positively influence the software industry.

Aim and Scope

The Industry Talks track provides a forum for software engineering practitioners who can discuss real-world practices, the difficulties and solutions that encourage the use of practices related to Software Engineering and Quality in their daily problems. Proposals for presentations exploring problems, solutions, best practices, and emerging challenges in software development, as well as other subjects related to Software Engineering and Quality in the industry in general, are welcome.

Topics of Interest

Software engineering practitioners, government staff, and researchers are invited to participate together, exploring how processes, methods, techniques and tools of Software Engineering and Quality can help to obtain better solutions for the industry in general, and more particularly for the industry software in particular.

Topics of interest in Software Engineering and Quality include (not limited to):

  • Project planning and management
  • Product management
  • Quality processes
  • Development processes
  • Leadership and people management
  • Metrics and indicators
  • User experience (UX)
  • Design thinking and innovation
  • Development with distributed teams
  • DevOps
  • Transformation for agility
  • Culture change and organizational transformation
  • Development support tools and strategies
